Primer Preschool

Primer Pre-school

Primer preschool is a 3 or 5 morning a week program and runs from 8:45am – 11:45am. All Red Bell students must be toilet trained to attend our school. Students must be able to take care of all of their own toileting needs. Primer preschool offers a hands-on, developmentally appropriate environment for our littlest learners to thrive!

Children learn by touching, feeling and doing. We will investigate and answer lots of “why” questions in Primer Preschool. We will learn by playing, using our imaginations, creating and exploring the world around us. This is usually a student’s first experience in a school setting.

Play-based curriculum

At Red Bell Preschool we believe in focusing on the whole child. Our play-based curriculum focuses on all areas of child development.  Our teachers break down the curriculum to meet the needs of all children in their class. Each day your child will be exposed to the following skills in a hands-on environment:

 

  • Pre-reading
  • Pre-math
  • Literacy
  • Art
  • Fine and large motor skills
  • Language and social skills
  • Science and Technology

9:00 AM to 9:10 AM

  • Morning Gathering…books, songs, weather, calendar and plan for the day

9:10 AM to 10:25 AM

  • Teacher guided learning centers
  • Child guided learning centers
  • Snack / Art / Language / Science / Math

10:25 AM to 10:45 AM

  • Outside

10:50 AM to 11:20 AM

  • Small Groups

11:20 AM to 11:30 AM

  • Morning Wrap Up….books, songs, “What we did today”

11:45 AM

  • End of school day

Optional Enrichment
Monday – Friday

Enrichment can be added to any program to extend your child’s day to full time care. Red Bell is open 7:30am to 5:30pm.
